Game on folks!!! The swim time has been confirmed for 7pm on Thursday evening. The run will start at approx 01:15hrs late tomorrow night. This just happens to be exactly the same time of day that Eddie started at when he broke the world record in 2001. This will make it much easier to keep track of timings.

As I am now in the habit of looking at what the weather is doing over the Atlantic, I couldn't help but notice (as well as being on every TV station this morning), this little baby!!

Hurricane Dean is passing close to Jamaica, pushing winds of 240km/h (150mph). Here the storm is seen from the space shuttle Endeavour.

I reckon we wait for it to reach the UK, and use it as a tail wind to help me across the channel. It may push me a little further north than expected, but the bike ride down to Paris from the Polar ice cap will be very scenic indeed.
