I've had a good chat with the pilot today. As well as the BBC pressure charts, he also uses a US Navy website. This forcast for Friday (below) looks a lot more favourable for the swimmer over the channel. The big blob below laballed '1024' is the high pressure that we have been waiting for. In fact, Friday is looking pretty good for a 7am start (if not before). This would mean a 4pm run start on Wednesday. If the weather breaks before, then maybe we could leave as soon as Tuesday.

As the window of opportunity to swim is getting smaller by the day, Eddie and I have agreed to start the run on Wednesday at the latest. If the weather is poor when we arrive in Dover, then it's a case of wetsuit and wolly hat on and wait on the beach for the wind to die down. We would have until Sunday for this to happen
