At midmight tonight, one week will have passed since the completion of my Arch 2 Arc challenge.  To say that it feels like I'm living in a huge black hole is an understatement.  Everything in my life over the last 12 months had centred around one week and now that week is gone, well I have found myself twiddling my thumbs, watching TV on the sofa and doing all the other things that 'normal' people do.

With my head a little clearer, I have started to come up with a few ideas for the future.  Both Eddie and I are keen to continue working with each other and with Eddie moving back to Lanzarote at the end of Septemeber, there is an opening in the 'European Ultra Triathlon' market.  Lanzarote would be the ideal location as it already holds the 'toughest Ironman in the world' label.  Eddie will be going back to his routes.  In 1994, Eddie became the first person in history to swim from Lanzarote to Fuerteventua.  Since Eddie's crossing, a local tri club organises a swim between the 2 islands.  The next date for this race is Saturday October 13th 2007.  With all the swim endurance already in the bank, I would love to go over there this year, but trying to find flights on a Friday to Lanza to return on the Sunday to fitaround work is proving impossible.  Must try harder.....
