After the success of the Arch 2 Arc, the BBC contacted me and asked if I would be a contestant on their show, 'Last Man Standing'. The idea of the programme is to take six UK/US athletes and immerse them in cultures around the world where they learn the local traditional sport/martial art/physical challenge and then compete in a major tournament / festival at the end of their training period. They have already made some programmes and have been to the South Pacific, Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa, PNG and Mongolia amongst others to take part in martial arts tournaments, running races, wrestling competitions and canoe races.
The BBC said, "It's a big commitment. The contributor will be going away for two weeks every month for the next year but we can help out with living expenses, rent etc in the UK but this isn't about making money, it's about the opportunity of a lifetime".
Yes of course I have 2 weeks out of every month for the next year to swan off round the world!!
