The Lanzarote Ultra Triathlon was originally designed for solo athletes wishing to attempt an awesome challenge that would prepare themselves for the world famous Enduroman Arch to Arc (A2A) over some of the most testing terrain known to man.
The challenge starts with a 45 mile run, then an 11 mile sea swim and finishes with a 90 mile cycle. The distances are exactly half of the A2A and are completed solo and without sleep.
After the success of the A2A and the Enduroman Double Iron UK, the Lanzarote
Ultra now appeals to all ultra distance athletes from around the world that wish to test their limits of endurance within the beauty of the volcanic mountains. The event is open for application throughout the months of January and May. Enduroman will provide athlete support throughout the event and one week’s accommodation shared with the Enduroman team will be included within the race entry fee. The run will start and finish near the picturesque town of Playa Blanca and will pass through the Fire Mountains and across the lava fields before arriving back at Playa Blanca beach.

The swim will take place in safe waters around the bay surrounding Playa Blanca before the athlete heads towards the infamous Miradore on the bike ride at the highest point on the island. The athlete will then return to Playa Blanca.
This November, I will be flying to Lanzarote to set new world record for the event. Watch this space!!
