Enduroman is growing fast and there is much to look forward to over the next couple of years. The plans to organise the UK's first Deca Iron triathlon have progressed and entries will go out shortly for the race in June 2010.
Unfortunately, there are only 365 days in a year and Enduroman has to remain my No 1 priority. As well as organising the Deca, we have a 100 mile Ultra Marathon planned for 2010 and the Jurassic 10 Mile Sea swim to promote. Enduroman has just released it's own clothing range of t-shirts, polo shirts, fleeces, cycle top and socks with more on the way.
On top of this and working full time, I am in the middle of moving jobs and relocating down to Dorset. Although I could squeeze in the required training for the A2A this summer, I would be unable to give it my full commitment.
The A2A, especially non-wesuit, demands the utmost respect. To that end , Dave Farrell who was due to attempt the A2A in July 2010 has taken my place. This gives Trudy Dixon, who was unable to swim last year due to the bad weather a change to try again and take Dave's slot.
It was sad to let the slot go, but it was the right thing to do both for myself and Enduroman.
