The date for the Deca has finally been set: Saturday 19th June 2010.  The 24 mile pool swim will take place at the Dragon Leisure Centre, Bodmin, Cornwall.  The bike course is goes on a 160-mile out and back route from Fowey to Lands End and the run course is being held along the South West Coast Path.  Of course, like any Enduroman event, I would not organise it unless I had first completed it.

I haven't set an exact date yet, but it will be some time in September this year.  So...  24 mile swim, 1120 mile bike and a 262 mile run.  My sister's hotel is in Fowey, so logistically it will easier to manage and for people to support me, plus there will be no wife to run off with my best mate so I shouldn't lose my support crew ;-)  The format will be as follows:

Day 1: 24 mile pool swim
Days 2-8: 160 miles bike per day
Days 9-14: 44 miles per day running

I spoke to a friend about an idea an american website had. Do 100 runs in 100 days.  Each run has to be at least 30mins of running.  You can double or triple your runs per day but there must be at least 60mins between runs.  You can also have rest days (hence why you have to double etc).  I reckon not only will it be fun, but it will shift some winter timber, and perfectly prepare the body for the longer stuff.
